Senior Underwriter - Commercial Property

General Placement Service is working with an A+ rated reinsurance carrier seeking a Senior Underwriter to manage an assigned territory in the Chicago area. Ideal candidates should have extensive knowledge of large, complex commercial property accounts, experience with facultative reinsurance a plus.

The main responsibility of this role is to market the company’s products by developing client relationships and underwriting risks. They’re looking for an outgoing, team player who can collaborate with other staff members to ensure company growth and success.

Qualifications:

3+ years of Large Commercial Property underwriting experience

Prior sales or marketing experience with an insurance company

Bachelor’s Degree

Designations such as ARe and CPCU preferred
