RTI is now assisting development of a strategy for sustainable packaging for a FMCG major. In the first phase of this assignment, a peer analysis was conducted to analyze sustainable packaging guidelines and allied activities being adopted by other FMCG majors. For implementing the next phase, RTI is seeking an experienced individual as a consultant to support development of strategy focused on sustainable packaging for this FMCG company (client).

This individual will be working with other team members including:

RTI Team Leader

Sustainable Packaging Specialist (focused on FMCG business)

Sustainable Packaging Material Specialist (focused on packaging business)

Responsibilities

Scope: Activities required to be undertaken are detailed below:

Collaboratively work with Sustainable Packaging Material Specialist (packaging business) to evolve the sustainable packaging material strategy and secure a client buy-in.

Collaboratively work with Sustainable Packaging Specialist (FMCG business) to evolve the sustainable packaging material strategy and secure client buy-in.

Develop synergies and alignment between the two distinct businesses (FMCG and packaging) and undertake financial and or economic analysis to determine viability of various options.

Based on above analysis and utilizing synergies, draft corporate-level sustainability packaging strategy integrating requirements of different businesses. Strategy will include taxonomy, definitions, KPIs for tracking progress, etc.

Present and secure approval of the client on the corporate-level sustainability packaging strategy.

Any other task that may be mutually agreed.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Bachelors/Master’s degree in finance/business/economics/management or related fields with previous work experience in strategy development (12-15 years or more) is required.

Duration: April 1 – 30 September 2024.

Level of Effort: Part time, with regular meetings with RTI, client, and other stakeholders as relevant.

Travel: Short trips within India to metro locations for stakeholder consultation maybe required. Travel will be undertaken if mutually agreed. Travel cost will be separately covered.
