Quality Control Inspector

Description:

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team! You will perform in-process inspections to determine the quality of products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Prepare FAI report and communicate with shop floor on a day to day basis to establish product quality

Prepare PPAP reports & Control Plan under supervision

Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations under limited supervision

Implement and improve quality control operating procedures

Participate in routine visual inspections at warehouse

Perform incoming inspection and communicate with vendors on a daily basis

Maintain a clean and safe work environmentRequirements:

Qualifications:

3-5 Years of previous work experience in quality control in a machine shop environment

Experience with hand tool industry is a plus

Blueprint reading is a must

Well versed in using Caliper, Micrometer and Optical Comparator

Associates Degree Preferred

Forklift Experience is a plus

Strong attention to detail

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to walk and stand for most of the workday and have the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Able to drive between multiple locations
