PROJECT MANAGER (PMO)

ACC is looking for a Project Manager-PMO to join our team. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing, and executing complex projects from initiation to completion. This position typically involves managing resources, coordinating team member activities, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the specified scope and quality standards. The position may require occasional travel to customer locations and offers the potential for promotion. The Project Manager is a full-time, salaried, exempt role, reporting directly to the Project Management Office Director.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive project plan, including scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation

Define project tasks, dependencies, and milestones

Assemble, lead, and manage a project team, assigning responsibilities and tasks to team members

Provide guidance, support, and motivation to the team throughout the project lifecycle

Establish effective communication channels with stakeholders, team members and clients; regularly report project progress, risks, issues, and mitigation recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

Identify and engage key stakeholders, establish effective communication channels, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans to address potential issues that may arise during the project execution

Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and cost-effectively; monitor project expenses and adjust as necessary

Define and implement quality standards for project deliverables; conduct regular quality checks to ensure that project outcomes meet or exceed expectations

Oversee the day-to-day execution of project tasks, monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to the project plan; resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise

Establish project monitoring mechanisms, track progress, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management

Manage project scope changes and assess their impact on project timelines, resources, and budget. Implement ACC change control processes to minimize disruption and maintain project goal

Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress report, meeting minutes, and relevant project artifact

Identify lessons learned from completed projects and incorporate best practices into future projects and drive process improvements to enhance project management practices within the organization

Working Environment

Duties are performed in an office environment but may also require travel to customer sites/locations. Project Coordinators routinely use standard office equipment which includes, but is not limited to, computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues.

Requirements:

Education, Skills, Experience and Certifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science)

Strong financial acumen with a focus on Operational Excellence

Proven Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility driving orders/revenue, managing costs and driving profitable growth

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques

Minimum 3-7 years proven experience as a Project Manager in IT, Automation Systems or Construction

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Proficiency in project management software and tools, especially Smartsheet and ZOHO Projects

Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities

Experience in effectively managing relationships with stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and cross-functional teams

Proficient in identifying and mitigating project risks and issues

Prior experience in Automation Controls, Manufacturing Intelligence, Critical Infrastructure and IT4OT systems preferred

PLC, SCADA, Industrial data collection and programming platforms are a plus

Project management certification, such as PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), or Google Project Management Certificate (GMPC) is preferred

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged hours consistent with the average workday; to operate a computer and other office equipment, including but not limited to computer, printer, etc.
