Job Description
This position is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst that is able to work remote. This position is a 6-month contract to hire full-time. This position requires someone that is a US citizen and able to get an active clearance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor organization’s systems for security breaches and conduct appropriate investigations
Check for vulnerabilities in CorVel systems
Research the latest information technology (IT) security trends
Prepare reports that document general metrics, attempted attacks, and security breaches
Create, review, and maintain security incident response plan and playbook documentations
Recommend security enhancements to management and senior IT staff
Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis
Support the development of company-wide best practice for security
Participate in Security Audits
Maintain relationship with 3rd party security organizations
Other Duties as assigned
REQUIRED:
5+ years of experience as a security professional and developing security policies
5+ years of experience working in a Microsoft environment
Strong understanding of policy, compliance, and best practice security principles
Previous experience with vulnerability assessments and testing
Excellent written and communication skills
Strong work ethic, demonstrated self-starter, ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Strong organizational skills
Splunk and PowerBI experience
Experience in communicating, planning, and implementing Security recommendations
PREFERRED:
Azure Sentinel or similar SIEM Product
Advanced Scripting in SQL, PowerShell
Ran or managed network penetration testing
Experiences in a security analyst role
Experience working in a SOC organization, ideally with a team of 5 more people
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
