The Paving Operator will be responsible for operating various types of paving equipment to construct and maintain parking lots and other surfaces. This role requires a strong understanding of paving techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols. The successful candidate will work closely with the paving crew to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Operate paving equipment, including asphalt pavers, rollers, and milling machines

Prepare surfaces for paving by grading, leveling, and compacting

Monitor and control the flow of asphalt to ensure an even and smooth surface

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of paving equipment

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate paving operations

Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

Assist with other tasks as needed to support paving operations

Interpret blueprints, instructions, and work orders to execute tasks accurately and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years experience operating paving equipment

Knowledge of paving techniques, materials, and equipment maintenance

Valid driver's license and ability to job sites as required
