Partner with the best

As a Staff Cloud Network Security Engineer, you'll support Baker Hughes Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Firewall Governance team with policy/rule reviews associated with Azure & AWS Cloud firewalls and security group requests. As a member of the GRC Firewall Governance team, the individual will collaborate with technical and business teams across the organization to review various firewall and security group controls, cloud architectures, and designs.

As a Staff Cloud Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Providing technical security review and assessments for changes to cloud firewalls, security groups, and access controls to ensure standards and best practices are followed.

Measuring cloud security posture against polices, security controls, and best practices.

Analyzing, troubleshooting, and fixing platform bugs and escalate to vendor when necessary. Supporting and creating system administration and user guide documentation.

Working closely with application, network, and security teams to ensure that requirements are reflected appropriately in cloud firewall, security group controls and architecture.

Writing and maintaining clear, concise documentation, guidelines, and runbooks for the Firewall Governance team and cloud operation teams consumption.

Working closely with other IT professionals, such as network engineers, system administrators, and developers to integrate security practices into all aspects of the cloud infrastructure

Identifying risks across network infrastructure that would lead to the exposure of sensitive data, unauthorized access, or loss of availability and prioritize remediation efforts to address gaps.

Working with customers, vendors, and project managers on understanding business requirements and translating those into technical requirements. Support URL filtering and unblock process.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) field with 8 years of relevant experience.

Have in-depth understanding of cloud technologies, networking and security controls associated AWS, Azure firewalls and security groups.

Have In-depth understanding of next-generation firewalls such as Palo Alto and associated capabilities, including Panorama, Threat, URL Filtering, Global Protect, App-ID, etc.

Have In-depth understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, networking, routing protocols, subnetting, switching, LAN, WAN, Load-Balancing, SD-WAN, DHCP, DNS, OT/IoT, etc.

Have Understanding of firewall policy/compliance management platforms such as Algosec, Tufin, FireMon, etc.

Have Ability to communicate and present complex information to technical and nontechnical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing

Have Strong customer focus, ability to manage customer expectations, and attention to detail.
