As a Business development executive - Custom House Agent, you will be responsible for promoting and selling custom house services to clients and facilitating smooth import and export processes. Your primary objective will be to attract new customers, build strong relationships with existing clients, and ensure exceptional customer service throughout the custom house process. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including shipping companies, customs officials, and clients, to streamline operations and meet client requirements.

Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

Identify and target potential clients in need of custom house services.

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to generate new business.

Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through lead generation and prospecting.

Conduct sales presentations and negotiations to secure new contracts and clients.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.

Client Relationship Management:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

Provide timely and accurate information regarding custom house services, regulations, and processes.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and resolving issues.

Customs Documentation and Compliance:

Coordinate with clients and gather necessary documentation for import and export processes.

Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws to avoid delays or penalties.

Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations and other required documents.

Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and communicate them to clients.

Operational Coordination:

Collaborate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and customs officials to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Coordinate shipment schedules, customs clearance, and delivery to meet client timelines.

Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Resolve any operational issues or delays in coordination with relevant parties.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, client interactions, and customs documentation.

Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, and revenue forecasts.

Ensure all documentation related to customs and sales processes is properly filed and organized.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a salesperson or in a similar sales role.

In-depth knowledge of custom house procedures, import/export regulations, and trade compliance.

Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Strong negotiation and presentation skills.

Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Proficient in using sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software.

Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, international trade, or a related field (preferred)
