Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the Project Lead Vessel Designer or Engineer, The

Vessel Designer is expected to be adequately qualified in 3D and 2D cad software

Inventor and capable of 3D modeling and 2D drafting work of Vessel design of

Cameron Process Systems proposals and projects under minimum guidance.. he

develops and checks system design CAD files or drawings in conformance with project

specifications, scope of work, design parameters, Standards, codes, Procedures,

industry practices, P&IDs, client specifications and vendor data.

Assist engineers with initial design and final design solutions on a project.

Conceptualize plans, details and sections to accurately convey construction or

fabrication requirements.

Prepares and develops 2D and/ or 3D CAD designs under the supervision of the

Lead Vessel Designer or Engineer.

Responsible for checking and back checking 3D models and vessel drawings

Ensure compliance with approved design standards, to provide quality design.

Coordinate vendor supplied drawings or information into project drawings.

Extract CAD drawings and sections.

Prepare Bill of Material.

Communicate and interface with other engineering disciplines.

Attend 3D model reviews as required.

Provide input to the Lessons learned process and utilize findings from the

process to update tools and processes.

Assist in developing Cameron Standards for Cameron products.

Maintaining project documentation.

Teaming up with process engineers.

Coordinate with structural along with Piping departments to assure suitable

flexibility and assist Vessel engineering design.

Ensure performance of staff members are in compliance with established project

standards.

Review project parameters related to Vessel requirements.

Participate project meetings and provide project status.

Provide assistance to sales and contracts for proposals.

Prepare and manage project schedule for Vessel design.

Ability and willingness to travel, as required. Estimated at up to 10%.

Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on-going function of

the company and facility HSSE program; ensuring a safe/healthy work

environment.

When delegated, must be able to assume a lead technical role over other

engineers or project subgroups for completing specific tasks.

As applicable, must be able to perform or assist in the performance of problem

root cause analysis and lessons learned.

As required, must be able to assists in on-the-job-training and mentoring of

assigned personnel

Qualifications

and Education

Requirement

ITI Mechanical Draughtsman, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum of 4 years of Vessel design experience in relevant Oil and Gas Projects.

Knowledge of industry/ regulatory codes and standards (ASME, API, BS, PED and

other international detailing knowledge)

Able to conceptualize and draw design details independently with minor

instruction from project engineering.

Good knowledge of technical aspects of oil and gas products and processes

(Cameron products/processes preferred).

Must be familiar with Vessel specifications, administrative and technical practices,

design instructions, plot plans, flow diagrams and interpreting vendor information.

Knowledge Manufacturing requirements.

General knowledge of oil and gas production, hydrocarbon processing and

oil/water separation.

Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Ability to coordinate, work and understand process, structural, electrical, Piping

and instrumentation disciplines

Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbal and written

Capable of performing the following essential

physical demands:

Must be able to traverse ladders, stairs, gangways

and scaffolding at varying heights

Must have excellent balance to traverse and

negotiate uneven surfaces at varying heights

driver's license

Must be able to handle and operate hand tools
