Analyst - Process CoE

Department: Process CoE Reports to: Manager - Process CoE

Role

To help in building the detailed process maps, following the BPMN mapping standards, based on defined timelines. Review the controls in processes and identify process gaps across the EQ Group. This role will be critical in process standardization and re-engineering. Work with the Risk team on Organization Risk and Control Management. The role to be based out of Chennai location.

Business Function

Process CoE team work closely with the EQ India Operation and EQ Group functions across UK and US in driving the initiatives to optimize end-to-end processes across the organization. Estabilishing a culture of continuous improvement and helping the organization to manage the operations efficiently through robust control frameworks and process standardization.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Understand and create standardized process flows using BPMN standards.

Identify opportunities to optimize end-to-end processes across the organization as per BPMN standards.

Work closely with the operations and transition team, to understand the migrating processes. Review the process to identify potential gaps while coming up with process flows.

Ensure that control measures are effectively integrated into daily process flows.

While mapping the processes, look for the effectiveness of controls, make recommendations for improvements as needed.

Perform trend analysis to anticipate potential challenges and implement preventive measures to mitigate.

Support the operations and risk teams in implementing robust control frameworks to mitigate identified risks.

Periodically review with Operations to update the revised processes and controls that the processes have underwent.

Take lead in implementing continuous improvement intiatives, proactively identify opportunities for enhancement.

Ensure the implementation of reviewed and revised processes and controls by the respective stakeholders.

Competencies and Experience

The candidate should posses the following experience, skills and behaviours:

Bachelor's degree in Business administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a relevant field.

2 to 5 years of experience with minimum 1 to 3 years as a Business Process Analyst or in a similar role.

Hands on experience in using business process mapping tools is required (e.g., IBM Blueworks, Aris, Igraffx).

Understanding of business process management and notation (BPMN) methodologies and tools.

Proficiency in process modeling and analysis techniques is a plus (e.g., BPMN, Six Sigma, Lean).

In-depth knowledge about work/process standardization, risk identification and controls is a plus.

Understanding of process automation, workflow management, or business process management systems is preferred.
