Job Purpose
The Technical Lead of Software Development directs and oversees the software function in the overall planning, organizing, developing, releasing, and maintaining of software applications and systems according to business needs. The Technical Lead manages a small team in a department. Creates technical strategies and specific objectives for the team. Also aligns team with broader department and R&D best practices, goals, and objectives. Technical Capabilities with a hands-on experience in the following tools/technologies: ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, .Net core, message queueing, knowledge design patterns and architectural concepts (MVC, DI, Restful API, Microservice).
Job Responsibilities
60-70% technical, in code, hands-on development work
30-40% functional, people and project management, architecture work
Analyzes complex business needs presented by the users / clients and recommends technical solutions
Ensures the consistency and stability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions as defined by the broader R&D architecture team
Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations
Directs and helps prioritizes workload for their software development team
Perform liaison duties between users, operations, development teams and 3rd party services in the areas of application design, modifications or trouble shooting
Enforces and evolves software development standards and best practices
Collaborate with other developers and engineers to design, build, and maintain applications
Build applications for various platforms using common frameworks, including .Net
Write clean, testable code using .NET programming languages utilizing in-depth development, technical and design expertise in .NET, ASP.NET, C# and SQL-Server
Contribute and conduct development tests including but not exclusive to unit, integration and system level
Develop technical specifications
Estimates development tasks based on the appropriate business constraints
Review and refactor code
Document development and operational procedures
Reviews and validates implementations of self and others to ensure they meet requirements and match the specifications
Conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel
Coach, mentor, train and manage the performance of junior staff as needed
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 8 years of professional experience in all stages of definition, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of web-based software solutions
Minimum of 1 year of team/technical leadership experience
Demonstrated experience leading the introduction of new technologies and standards into an evolving environment
Must have the technical capability to manage resources at the deepest levels across many areas of Development Operations such as Product Management/Coordination, Development, Quality/Testing
Technical Capabilities with a hands-on approach in the following tools/technologies: ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, .Net core, message queueing, HTML and JavaScript, knowledge design patterns, and architectural concepts (MVC, DI, Restful API, Microservice)
Hands-on experience using testing frameworks (i.e., NUnit, Visual Studio, xUnit, etc.) and TDD
Experience with Agile (Scrum) Software Development Process and methodologies
Experience with database management and security a plus
Experience with source control such as git or git hub and branching/merging best practices
Experience migrating or working with C++, SSIS or SSRS code is a plus

Work Timings
Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 9 PM IST to provide healthy overlap between India team and US team and supporting both to ensure adequate collaboration. This role will be working in Hybrid Mode and will require at least 2 days' work from office at Hyderabad. Occasional evening and weekend work may be expected in case of job-related emergencies or client needs.
