Job Description

As the Sourcing Manager at Janasya, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and efficient sourcing of materials and products essential for our collections. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the entire sourcing process from start to finish. Your keen eye for trends, exceptional communication skills, and strategic mindset will drive our success in delivering high-quality, fashion-forward products to our customers.

Responsibilities

Supplier Relationship Management:

Identify and cultivate relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure favorable terms for Janasya.

Conduct regular supplier evaluations to assess performance and quality standards.

Trend Analysis and Product Development:

Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and consumer preferences.

Collaborate with design and product development teams to translate trends into viable product concepts.

Work closely with suppliers to source materials and components that meet design specifications and quality standards.

Supply Chain Optimization:

Streamline sourcing processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.

Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.

Quality Assurance:

Establish and enforce quality control procedures to maintain product integrity.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with Janasya's standards.

Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and logistics, to coordinate sourcing activities and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates on sourcing initiatives and address any concerns or challenges.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience of 7-15 years in fashion sourcing, preferably within the apparel industry.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.

Excellent understanding of textiles, fabrics, and garment construction.

Proficiency in sourcing software and tools.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
