What is the Senior Financial Analyst in Distribution Strategy & Financials group responsible for
GAS Distribution Strategy & Financials analyzes financial data, creates reports, and provides meaningful insights to global sales leaders, which helps them make informed decisions. The senior Financial Analyst should have a good understanding of financial data, be able to generate financial reports and dashboards using Power BI and Microsoft Excel and draw insights by analyzing the data.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Financial Analyst
Analyze financial data and create financial reports / dashboards in Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
Report on financial performance and provide insights to the leaders.
Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and highlight the key drivers.
Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
Standardize data from a variety of internal and external sources and make it analytics ready.
Build, deploy, maintain, and educate internal stakeholders using effective reports/dashboards, creating a point of view using data.
Maintain an understanding of data sources and common connections.
Partner with technology (FTT) and ensure alignment with business vision is achieved.
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports / dashboards.
Increase productivity by developing automated solutions.
Works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure analysis meets business needs while offering alternative solutions.
Facilitate and participate in business and project meetings driving a tactical or strategic point of view – which includes delivery to business leaders
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be Successful
MBA or PGDM in Finance.
3+ years of professional work experience, preferably all or part in the financial services industry.
Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
Hands-on experience in creating dashboards in Power BI.
Proficiency in financial analysis and processes.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Job Level - Individual Contributor
Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST
