DevOps Engineer

About The Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will help us build functional systems that improve our customer experience. You will be working closely with the Head of Tech and the software development team in order to be an integral contributor to the development of our Product.

Minimum Qualifications

4+ experience with cloud services in AWS

1+ years of experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and in setting up and maintaining Build and Release management using Jenkins

Appetite to automate every possible scenario/task

Strong understanding of Linux OSes like Ubuntu, CentOS / Redhat Linux and knowledge of Networking, HA / Load Balancing and Security

Interest in learning new languages/frameworks as needed.

A growth mindset and passionate about building things from the ground up

You'll be building/managing a tech stack that includes, but not limited to:

Terraform and cloudformation

AWS resources: Kubernetes on EKS, ECS, ECR, Codebuild, Codepipeline, Codedeploy, Batch, EC2, RDS.

IAC

Postgres, MySQL

Python, GO

CICD

Preferred Qualifications

Experience / skill / knowledge with System Manager, VPN S2S, DynamoDB, Kinesis, QLDB.

Knowledge in architectures and design patterns

Fluency in written and spoken English (and Spanish).

Startup experience is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

Build the whole stack, load balancers to databases, then move and launch our site at its new home, guiding the team through the entire process.

Build and maintain tools, solutions and microservices associated with deployment and our operations platform, ensuring that all meet our customer service standards and reduce errors.

Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch.

Test system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed.

Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes and deploy product updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise.

Work with open-source technologies as needed and with CI and CD tools, and source control such as GIT.

Offer technical support where needed in development

Help Security Engineering team in automating processes to make infrastructure more secure
