Job role
We're looking for a senior accounting executive who will work with our financial records and make sure they're up to date. The records the executive maintains might include expenditures, receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and profit and loss. The accounting executive will also be required to work with senior personnel on various projects and assist any and all departments as the need may rise.
Responsibilities
Work with Zohobooks to manage day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable
Receive and record cash, checks, and vouchers; reconcile bank account statements.
Handle payroll, make purchases, prepare invoices and keep track of overdue accounts.
Produce reports, reflecting profit and loss statements, financial statements and balance sheets
Keep management informed and up to date through presentations and reports
Remain vigilant against fraud and inaccuracy by checking over figures and reports frequently
Prepare accounting entries and reconcile general ledgers
Follow Company Cyclical Accounting Processes
Provide detailed analysis and explanation of transactions
Work on Company Accounts Payable functions- Vendor Invoice Payment, ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments and manage vendor contracts
Prepare monthly financial and various detailed analysis
Be familiar with Indian companies' law and be able to research and interpret relevant laws in the context of company work
Be able to communicate and work with Indian authorities (like IT department, GST Department, etc.) for company-related work
Work with company CA for compliance-related activities, including but not limited to financial documentation
Facilitate all statutory audits for the company
Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations
Requirements
7+ years of experience as an accounting/bookkeeping executive.
Skilled in using MS Office and Zoho Books.
Possesses eye for attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Integrity: a position that requires one to maintain an entire organization's financial records requires one's moral character to be of the highest fibre.
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, best practices and terminology.
