We are currently seeking a talented, experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our young and dynamic operations team based in our Mumbai office. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing the operational management of our bulk vessel fleet, managing approximately 8-10 ships with minimal supervision.

The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Efficient Fleet Management: Oversee operational management of our Bulk vessel fleet, managing approximately 8-10 ships with minimal supervision.

Optimal Service Delivery: Ensure optimal operations of all time charter vessels, delivering top-quality service to our valued customers.

Voyage Planning: Prepare voyage orders, appoint service providers, and calculate fuel consumption, cargo intake, port turnaround, and optimal sea routes.

Commercial Expertise: Handle basic commercial claims, monitor, and optimize voyage profit and loss independently.

Documentation and Reporting: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of shipping-related documentation, maintaining daily updates on internal systems using the IMOS - VESON system.

Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration with the commercial team, closing PNL reports, and presenting ideas and strategies to management.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience within operations in the shipping industry, ideally from a dry bulk operator.

Degree in Maritime or shipping industry.

Proven track record of reliability within the industry.

In-depth knowledge of both voyage and time charter parties.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Commercial understanding of vessel operating business models.

Excellent organizational skills with a structured approach.

Sound decision-making abilities.

Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure.

Proactive and able to present ideas and development strategies to management.
