Overview

The SAP ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) role is crucial to our organization as it involves customizing, developing, and maintaining SAP applications to meet our business needs. The ABAP developer plays a key role in enabling the integration of various SAP modules and ensuring seamless functionality through efficient programming and data processing.

Key responsibilities

Designing, coding, testing, and debugging SAP applications using ABAP programming language

Collaborating with functional and technical teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs

Developing and maintaining custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements

Creating and modifying SAP scripts and Smart Forms

Performing performance tuning and optimization of SAP programs

Conducting unit testing and integrating testing of developed solutions

Implementing and supporting SAP system enhancements and upgrades

Providing ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for SAP applications

Documenting technical specifications, system configurations, and custom developments

Participating in the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and maintenance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Developer or similar role

Strong knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and integration with other systems

Expertise in ABAP programming including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF)

Experience with SAP data processing and debugging tools

Ability to analyze complex business processes and provide technical solutions

Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization of SAP applications

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP HANA is a plus

Certification in SAP ABAP is preferred
