Inviting applications for the role of Vice President, Global Controller

Genpact is a US listed company, reporting to Chief Accounting Officer you will be a critical business partner responsible for performing closing and reporting activities and consolidation of more than 100 Genpact entities, across the globe, enhancing the accuracy of the company%27s reported financial results, ensuring implementation of proper internal controls and focus on achieving organizational targets. The Global Controller will partner and work closely with the senior management team, including Corporate and Business FP&As, Pricing and Commercials leaders, participation in Audit Committee meetings including preparation of decks, as well as primary contact with external auditors. The primary requirement is for an operationally focused person, with strong SME knowledge, high integrity and strong interpersonal skills.

You will be playing a key role in the design and implementation of the new ERP.

You will work with the team to streamlining of existence process and remove NVAs from the process. You will also need to mentor the new hires in the process.

Responsibilities

.Lead Global Consolidation and preparation of Consolidated financial statements as per US GAAP (quarterly and annual reporting). This will include monthly, quarterly and annual book closure as per USGAAP with complete ownership of balance sheet and income statement.

.Lead technical accounting, including SEC reporting, revenue recognition and accounting, equity-based compensation, capitalization and impairment testing for goodwill & intangibles, EPS etc.

.Lead Global Closing and Reporting SSC comprising more than 100 FTEs and Global SOX PMO Office, in compliance with US GAAP.

.Develop standardized controls and reporting to legal entities. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, including advice to other functions and process owners on controls and SOX compliance.

.Manage and oversee the preparation of statutory audits for 70+ Legal Entities and other compliance requirements of entities as required.

.Business partner for FP&A and Pricing & Commercial teams, to structure the customer contracts, in line with US GAAP revenue recognition guidance.

.Partner cross-functionally to support due diligence process on target acquisitions, purchase price allocation and system integrations on successful closure of such acquisitions.

.Ensure compliance with local laws, including tax laws by working closely with tax and legal teams.

.Self-starter, ability to identify issues, hold self and others accountable to achieve goals and resolve problems.

.Drive cross-functional projects designed to revamp processes and enhance reporting/controls. Bring necessary focus on automation, efficiency, and controls.

.Ensure process governance including reporting and analysis to key partners - communicate regularly to discuss operational issues, key metrics, etc.

.Review and analyze the team&rsquos performance and output for appropriate accounting treatment, completeness, and accuracy on accounting.

.Develop the team through effective performance management and regular appraisals. Strengthen the finance & accounts team that helps provide seamless and timely support to the business.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

.Accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent) with extensive leadership experience (including team handling). Some experience with Big 4 would be preferred.

.Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

.Deep domain knowledge of all the streams of closing and reporting coupled with working experience in multi-currency, multi legal entity, and matrix structured service organization. Should have worked in corporate function.

.Comprehensive understanding of reporting under US GAAP and SEC requirements, and IFRS.

.Experience in preparation or audit of consolidated financial statements.

.Analytical, comfortable with numbers and ability to work under pressure.

.Problem solving, collaborative attitude, strategic thinker, and ability to develop people and organization.
