Description:
Position Summary: To support all aspects of the production operations, quality, and final product in order to meet the department targets and company goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Audit and manage the payroll and timesheets for all non-exempt employees.
Create/prepare disciplinary documentation for the employees’ attendance and workmanship issues.
Maintain records of assembly performance, training, efficiency, and attendance.
FMLA, Personal Leave, and Workers Comp management documentation and guidance.
Coordinate and manage employees traveling activities.
Post and manage departmental bulletins and communicate to employees in general.
Assist in the training coordination (training meetings) of employees with the training department.
Schedule/coordinate production meetings in general as needed and or as directed.
Assist in the interviewing, hiring and head count evaluation activities
Provide company tours to new employees using the current “new employees introduction program”.
Investigate/coordinate shipsets MRB’s status, follow up actions and close them as needed.
Follow up on open NCR’s and close them as needed
Prepare, maintain and or coordinate Production Town Hall meetings and other department activities (PP presentations, activities, recognitions, gifts, etc.)
Manage and maintain shop floor boards data including the production schedule inputs and any other source of performance/info charts related to the production department.
Manage and maintain department KPI’s
Maintain Safety Data Sheets uploading activities and updates.
Coordinate production and lines maintenance needs with the facility department. Create tickets.
Create IT tickets for new Line Leads for SAP, windows account creation.
Coordinates documentation activities with Engineering and QE department all the FAI seats re-work and activities to ensure issues and re-work are resolved in a timely manner.
Coordinates documentation activities with production planning, IE’s and ME’s to ensure an efficient transition of HOV shipsets and programs IAW to the production plan. Review for accuracy and advise planning if changes are needed.
Evaluate operations performance and make recommendations for improvement to the Production Manager
Ensure company guidelines and safety policies are followed and update the forms as needed.
Assist production supervisors in the daily activities as needed. Fill in for absent supervisors. +
Support line leads in the daily operational challenges
Support in Lean and 5S initiatives, documentation, charts and coordinate needed actions.
Support company safety initiatives
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Manufacturing; or Associates degree in Business Administration, Human resources, Manufacturing or in related field plus 3+ years of Production Administration/Supervisor experience
Experience with PC’s and associated software is a must (Excel, PP, Word, SAP, etc.)
Must be able to read, write and interpret technical data, drawings, etc.
Knowledge of manufacturing procedures required; seat assembly preferred
Ability to independently plan and prioritize tasks
Ability to solve problems with little or no guidance
Ability to organize teams to effectively accomplish organizational goals
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule
Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook required
SAP knowledge
Lean/Six Sigma preferred
