We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team at our Doswell, VA location. This position will report to our VP of Supply Chain & QMS and will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process including purchasing, customer service, and logistics. You will ensure the smooth flow of goods, materials, and services from suppliers to customers. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Job Responsibilities

Manages the full scope of Customer Service & Planning, Warehousing and Logistics, as well as purchasing departments.

Draws Material and Logistics Sourcing Plan and drives the related Operations to ensure an uninterrupted and reliable supply flow.

Monitors the delivery performance of outgoing finished goods and incoming raw materials.

Drives standardization of processes and procedures, supplier selection processes / ongoing supplier management, negotiation, and performance improvement.

Governs purchase agreements and logistics contracts with a bias for achievement of quality, delivery and cost-containment.

Monitors the Sales forecast Vs. Sales out, ensuring delivery and invoicing targets are met.

Analyzes inventories ageing, to ensure the depletion of dormant stocks of RM, WIP and proper rotation.

Develops and maintains systematic, analytical, and results-based methods for monitoring suppliers’ performance and communicates these results to the suppliers.

Ensures vendors are adhering to pricing contracts and agreements.

Monitors the execution of daily set production schedule vs. actual production (HIT vs MISS).

Develops effective communication and processes with the transportation and logistics vendors.

Fosters meaningful business relationships in line with Group’s Culture and Values. Ensures the effectiveness of purchasing strategies.

May assume other duties as applied.Requirements:

College degree, preferably in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, engineering, business, accounting or manufacturing-related field or equivalent experience.

10+ years related work experience.

Internal Auditing Certificate, proven successful carrier path in Supply Chain, Process Mapping.

Lead Assessor Certificate, Training certificate in applied management system standard (Consultancy is a plus).

Keen Knowledge and understanding of Production processes, material, and its usage.

Proven track record of initiating and carrying out cost reduction/productivity improvement programs.

Ability to make strategic buying recommendations and take appropriate action.

Great attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a team-based corporate culture. Demonstrate strength working cross functionally to drive issue resolution.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications, listening and presentation skills.

A progressive, proactive approach that is eager to embrace technology and modern management principles.

Experience in dealing with manufacturers and distributors, strong leadership, and negotiation skills.

Working knowledge of contract administration, finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting, risk management, etc.

P&L and ERP-driven Sales and Operation Planning. Axapta knowledge is a plus.

Excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in an environment with large volumes of data.
