ABOUT THE POSITION:

Our Resource Managers serve critical roles on our client service team. Broadly, the position will involve working with various key stakeholders in the Firm to anticipate scheduling needs and ensure all engagements are properly staffed based on experience, industry, technical expertise, and capacity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engage with partners, managers, service line/industry leaders, and staff to obtain an understanding of ongoing resource needs.

Act as a primary point of contact for staff scheduling requests, as well as for unassigned staff.

Ensure all engagements are properly staffed based on timing, levels, skills, and other necessary requirements.

Maintain and communicate on a regular basis updated short-term and long-term staffing schedules to partners, managers and staff.

Align resources to meet the needs of the clients.

Track and maintain records of professional staff's skills and interests to ensure alignment on client engagements and with staff career pathways.

Ensure compliance with Firm priorities around capacity, client needs, client prioritization, staff development, and diverse staff experience within their pathway.

Keep pulse of current and future needs and capacity.

Anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts as they arise, including working with affected managers and staff to optimize recommendations and solutions.

Be aware of deadlines and priorities to ensure engagements are completed in a timely manner.

Proactively monitor time reports, staff utilization, availability, and productivity to identify trends, opportunities, and possible conflicts/issues.

Analyze staff availability and productivity and communicate with Partners and client in-charges regarding ongoing and future staffing needs, leveraging and utilization.

Facilitate scheduling meetings as needed.

Active role in implementing new scheduling processes and systems, driving adoption, and helping craft new processes.

Develop solid understanding of the business, our general clients and industries, and the Firm's strategy.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in a similar role in CPA or a Law firm.

Experience using workflow management software/solution.

Knowledge of CCH Axcess and XCM preferred.

Excellent Excel skills.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities well.

Ability to research, document, analyze, and interpret scheduling, utilization, and leveraging data.

Compensation:

Competitive annual salary in the range of $60,000 to $100,000 based on the individual's experience level.
