PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR -

1st Shift ( 7am to 3:30pm)

2nd Shift ( 3pm - 11pm – training on 1st)

Ohio Crankshaft is a subsidiary of Park-Ohio Holdings Corporation. Located in Cleveland, Ohio our expertise is precision machining of intermediate to large custom critical parts. We are the current supplier of Locomotive crankshafts and Camshafts to Electro Motive Diesel (Progress Rail). As our name implies, we have a 100-year history and specific expertise in the manufacturing of heavy-duty crankshafts and camshafts, pump shafts, press shafts for internal combustion engines, reciprocating pumps, and Presses.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and leading the production team, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure team efficiency and productivity.

Monitor production processes to meet quality and quantity standards, ensuring adherence to production schedules and deadlines.

Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain product quality and consistency, conducting regular inspections and addressing any deviations or issues.

Manage resources effectively, including raw materials, manpower, and equipment, to optimize production output and minimize waste.

Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety training, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members.

Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance production methods and reduce costs.

Maintain accurate production records, prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), and communicate production updates to management.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment

Understanding of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Proficiency in using computer systems and software for production tracking and reporting purposes.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
