Rewind Operator

Job Description

Albany NY printing company is hiring 2nd shift Rewind Operators. Monday-Friday, pay starts at $16.50-17.50

Principal Responsibilities:

Read job ticket carefully before setting up and running machine

Input job order information into the computer; set specifications on the machine (measurement accuracy and attention to detail required)

Attach slitting blades to machine when necessary

Inspect and remove all defects, properly re-splice the roll, stamp each role

Lift order onto the machine

View labels with assistance of strobe light

Complete quality assurance sheet and associated documentation

Responsible for following processes and procedures

Responsible for cleanliness of machinery and organization of the workspace; light maintenance of machinery and slitting blades may also be required

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Lifting up to fifty pound is required

A good eye for color and attention to detail is required

3+ years of label rewind machine operation (preferred)

Prior experience running Rotoflex HSI Series machines or other comparable machines (preferred)

Ability to decipher colors

Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing
