HSE Safety Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a HSE Safety Coordinator to become an integral part of our team! The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination and execution of safety training programs and assisting the operations, administrative, and production departments with the overall execution of the safety management systems. Responsibilities:

Monitors processes, procedures, and operating conditions in the by daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections/audits as necessary to comply with Local, State and Federal regulations.

Monitor employee compliance to align with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Plan, schedule, and conduct Safety Orientation for all new employees, as well as on-going training.

Implement and reinforce a culture focused on sustaining positive behaviors in achieving Goal Zero.

Maintain the site's incident reports and related documents, training records, written testing, and inspection records.

Maintains quality service, and customer satisfaction initiatives by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Reviews systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control to ensure HSE procedure/policies are incorporated.

Manage and implement all safety standards/certifications required to meet OHSA compliance and standards including any third party safety providers.

Assist HR with worker’s comp claims and on-site Substance Abuse program testing.

Assist supervisors in the investigation of all near misses and incidents.

Assist the production department with misc shipping and receiving tasks.

Qualifications:

H.S. diploma, HSE trade certifications, or Associates Degree preferred with a minimum of three years of experience in an HSE related role with working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations. Communication skills written and verbal, with computer proficiency. Working Conditions include office and shop type environments involving walking, climbing, lifting, and standing capabilities.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is based on a standard full-time 40-hour work week
