The Sign Connection, LLC, is a growing full service sign company that has been serving the Vernon CT area since 1989 offering design, fabrication, service and installation of a wide variety of products in the sign industry. We are seeking an extremely creative, enthusiastic and experienced sign shop Graphic Designer that will work in an environment that is interesting, challenging and fast paced. We are looking to fill a position full time position requires extensive experience in design with an ability to come up with creative, attractive, well laid out products. Must have hands-on experience with sign making software, such as Signlab or Adobe Illustrator as well as pre press and printing/cutting experience with wide format printers and plotters. We are seeking candidates with sign shop experience in the design/cut print room however are willing to train the right apprentice. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter - who is well grounded and looking for a future to join our team. We are looking for someone who is looking for a solid future. This unique role incorporates both aspects of customer service and Graphic Design. It will require you to consult with customers at the front counter as well as perform creative and production Graphic Design responsibilities efficiently and effectively. The role will require utilizing design skills with the latest design software to create designs that meet and exceed the client's design and communication needs! Responsibilities include: -Work on creative projects from concept to production -Effectively communicate with clients to understand and deliver design material to their satisfaction -Respond to and follow up on customer inquiries -Receive customer supplied files, pre-flight and Rip to production equipment -Support sales with clients in effectively conveying their message in print or electronic media using color, type, illustration, photography, and other various techniques -Remain up to date on changes in the graphic design industry -Interpret customer requests -follow up on quotes - prep press responsibilities including wide format printing and plotting.
