Hours REQUIRED: We are hiring for the following shifts: 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm. Please Note: It is MANDATORY to work at least 1 weekend day.

Client LOCATIONS: Inglewood/Gardena/Hawthorne - MUST be available to work at all locations and will be placed based on current client needs.

Must attend Mandatory New Hire Orientation Via Zoom and in-person

The Center for Applied Behavior Analysis (CABA) is currently seeking caring and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. As a DSP at CABA, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by providing direct support and implementing behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct behavior support services to individuals living in an Enhanced Behavioral Support Home (EBSH) who have a developmental disability and substantial mental health diagnoses, under the supervision of the Administrator, Qualified Behavior Modification Professional(QBMP), Board Certified Behavior Analyst(BCBA) and Lead Direct Support Professional(LDSP).

Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Implement all clinical programming procedures as developed by the QBMP and/or Supervisor (i.e. challenging behavior management, skill acquisition, & data collection strategies)

Provide person-centered planning and support to individuals

Collect data and maintain individual records in accordance with individualized goals

Immediately report caregiver communication to the Supervisor

Maintain standards of individual safety and confidentiality

Complete CABA certification to dispense medication as prescribed

Assist with self-care, bathing, and grooming

Assist with house maintenance and cleanliness

Adhere to standards for best practices as determined by legislation, industry standards, funding sources, and CABA

Adhere to ethical practices and core values of CABA

Fulfill all requirements to obtain and maintain a credential as a Registered Behavior Technician(RBT) set forth by the credentialing body (i.e., BACB), industry standards, funding sources, and CABA standards

Communicate information and/or issues that arise in a timely manner in accordance with appropriate CABA policy

Complete other clinical and administrative activities assigned at the discretion of CABA

Attend and complete all initial and ongoing training requirements

Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists

Requirements

Highschool Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE)/GED, Bachelor's Degree preferred

A Foreign Transcript Evaluation (FTE) IS REQUIRED if coursework was completed outside of the United States

6 months + experience implementing behavior intervention services and supporting individuals with developmental disability and substantial mental health diagnoses, including severely challenging behaviors

Valid CPR/First Aid Certification

Current TB test (taken within the last year)

Current DOJ/FBI Clearance through Community Care Licensing (CCL)

Physical capacity for transferring and assisting persons who require physical assistance

Physical capacity to reach and bend as needed to assist individuals who require physical assistance

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)

Reliable means of transportation and valid driver's license

Ability to pass a criminal background check (FBI/DOJ clearance)

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

CABA sponsors qualified behavior technicians to become Registered Behavior Technician(s) (RBT)

Pay ranges from $21-23/hr.
