Our global team is multidisciplinary and combines our core knowledge in accounting and reporting with knowledge in technical and regulatory sustainability issues.

Our teams help clients improve and report on their sustainability performance. Specifically, we help clients manage emerging risks, and reduce costs through the design and implementation of systems and processes and leverage opportunities in areas such as climate change, green and sustainable finance, health and safety, labor rights, nonfinancial reporting, supply chain and environmental management.

The opportunity

The EY Climate Change & Sustainability Services (CCaSS) Team is looking for a market - facing talented professional with significant experience in climate change and sustainability consulting experience, sustainability / ESG advisory, including exposure to energy management, ESG strategy, sustainable value creation, ESG due diligence, sustainable finance and ESG Reporting . We need candidates with a proven track record of winning and advising large corporate firms (FTSE 100 / Fortune 500) on sustainability strategy and leading the implementation of such programs to drive and measure value created.

Your key responsibilities:

As an ESG/EHS Technology Consultant, you'll have the chance to support the design and implementation of EHS/ESG technology solutions for clients in all major industries across MENA

Lead workshops with client to gather their business requirements and convert them in solution design for implementation.

Analyze user requirements, prepare requirements document, as-is & to-be processes and identify gaps.

Responsible for planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.

Preferred experience with common applications such as EHS/ESG Incident Management, Audit Management, Risk management, Inspections/BBS, Action Plans, Compliance Assurance, Air Emissions, waste, water, Sustainability reporting, Carbon foot printing etc.

Analyze technical feasibility and propose solutions to meet customer requirements and business logic.

Responsible for creation or updates of Functional Specification documentation (FSD).

Ensure quality of work implemented by development team members, participate in integration testing and support during user acceptance testing.

Prepare test plans, conduct testing validation, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

Create training materials and deliver onsite or remote training to the customers.

Support the technical teams as required to configure/deploy EHS solutions; specific activities include publishing system design documents, configuring components within the solution, analyzing/migrating data, and developing custom reports/dashboards and automated interfaces

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering or related degree with an environmental or safety focus.

5 years plus tangible professional experience as a technology consultant

Experience leading EHS/ESG software implementations, including design workshops, development, testing, data migration and post-go-live support.

Good knowledge on any digital solution like SAP, Enablon, IBM, Microsoft etc.

Proficient with MS Office suite

Excellent conceptual, process oriented and analytical problem-solving skills

Working knowledge of Project management methodologies, like Agile and Waterfall
