Roving Maintenance Technician

Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Roving Maintenance Technician to join our team and provide maintenance services to our properties across several counties. As a team member, you will be expected to uphold our core values and communicate with radical transparency while always putting the customer first.

Reports To: Property Supervisor

Position Type: Hourly/ Full Time

Locations: Los Angeles/ Southbay/ Long Beach, CA

Salary: $20-$25 per hour plus allowance

Essential Functions:

Provide maintenance services, including plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement, etc.

Complete daily work orders assigned by the supervisor

Maintain professionalism and follow company policies

Perform apartment make-ready work and troubleshoot/repair mechanical systems

Participate in preventive maintenance programs

Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations

Assist with other duties assignedRequirements:

High School Diploma or GED with two years of related experience

Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in grounds keeping

Ability to operate a motor vehicle

Ability to operate various hand and power tools

Deal effectively with co-workers and the public

Walk, stand and kneel for prolonged periods, climb a ladder

Travel Requirements: This position requires reliable transportation and 100% onsite work. Travel requirements may change at any time.

Physical Demands/Work Environment: This job requires the ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds; exposed to mechanical/electrical/chemical hazards; work outdoors in a wide disparity of environmental conditions; manipulate hand tools while exerting moderate physical strength or while in cramped/strained positions; exposed to dust/fumes; wear protective clothing; work irregular hours.
