X-ray Technologist -- Multi Office Traveling

Arrowhead Orthopaedics is seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technologist to join our Radiology Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-rays to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Our ideal candidate is an ARRT-certified professional who is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform X-ray imaging procedures as per physician orders, ensuring patient safety and compliance with radiation protection guidelines.

- Prepare patients for radiographic exams by explaining the procedure, positioning patients appropriately, and applying lead shields to protect unaffected areas.

- Operate and maintain radiology equipment, adjusting controls to obtain clear, concise images.

- Collaborate with radiologists to determine the need for additional images or adjustments to improve diagnostic quality.

- Maintain accurate patient records, including documenting procedure codes, equipment settings, and patient responses.

- Implement and adhere to health and safety standards and procedures, including infection control measures.

- Provide support and reassurance to patients, addressing concerns and answering questions related to radiographic procedures.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance radiology services and patient care.

- Stay abreast of advancements in radiologic technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development.

Required Qualifications

- Valid state license as an X-ray Technologist, if required by state law.

- Proven experience as an X-ray Technologist, preferably in an orthopaedic setting.

- Strong understanding of radiology principles, procedures, and best practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
