Position Overview: As the Information Technology (IT) & Systems Director for Waiakea Inc., you will be responsible for all aspects of information technology operations and strategy. You will play a crucial role in aligning IT initiatives with the company’s overall goals, particularly focusing on enhancing efficiency, security, and innovation within our processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and technical expertise to drive the company’s digital transformation journey. This position is 100% remote.

Essential Job Functions:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies that support the company’s objectives, including identifying opportunities for technological innovation to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance competitiveness.

Team Leadership: Manage the IT Support Specialist, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure the team’s effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.

Supply Chain and Systems Management: Collaborate with Operations to identify opportunities for integrating IT systems with supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. Lead and ensure seamless integration of IT systems across the supply chain, including EDI integrations and API integrations. Manage software applications and platforms that support supply chain operations, including but not limited to: Netsuite ERP, Shopify, Celigo, SPS.

Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software systems, to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.

Application Management: Lead the selection, deployment, and management of software applications and platforms that support manufacturing operations.

Cybersecurity: Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data, intellectual property, and critical manufacturing systems from cyber threats, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Assign and manage company-wide cyber security training and refreshers on an annual basis.

Data Management: Oversee data governance initiative, including data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting, to provide actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and process optimization.

Budget & Asset Management: Develop and manage the IT department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective investments in technology solutions that deliver value to the organization.

Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and technology partners, negotiating contracts and SLAs to ensure high-quality support and alignment with business requirements.

Change Management: Champion a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation within the organization, driving the adoption of new technologies, processes, and best practices to enhance efficiency, agility, and innovation across our operation. Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

8 years of Netsuite ERP knowledge, or advanced skill and proven experience of leading Netsuite ERP integrations within a supply chain and operation

Advanced knowledge of Shopify, Celigo, SPS Commerce platforms

Advanced project management skills

Advanced understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, with experience implementing security controls and protocols to protect manufacturing systems and data

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies preferred

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Strong technical knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, G Suite, Skype)
