Salary: $22/hour
THE ROLE:
NextGen America is currently seeking a Digital Intern to join our remote Summer internship program, with a possibility of extension to our fall program. This internship is not limited to college seniors or recent graduates. We also invite and encourage experienced professionals who may be looking for a career change to apply.
This position will be part-time with an expected commitment of 20 hours per week. The expected start date for our Summer Cohort will be May 28, 2024.
HOW YOU WILL BENEFIT
Paid: an intern will be considered an hourly employee with a pay rate of $22/hour
Location: internships are fully remote and can work from anywhere within the United States
Training and Development: Opportunities to learn from and train with senior employees and leaders within a leading electoral organization
Education: Opportunities for hands-on learning and training in an organization with a track record of championing progressive causes and candidates
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE:
Assist with core day-to-day activities of the Digital team
Assist with copywriting for NextGen America’s email, SMS, and web actions on issues related to voting, advocacy, organizing, and more
Assist in the management of grassroots campaigns from conception to design, execution, and analysis
Produce reports on digital engagement and experiments
Track emerging trends in digital storytelling and utilize them effectively
Perform other duties as assigned
ABOUT YOU:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications
A passion for taking political action through engaging with young people to stand up for progressive values and causes
A strong desire to obtain new skills and exposure to working in a professional environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
Creative and flexible
Excellent team player
COMPENSATION:
NextGen America Interns are part-time, temporary employees with a set pay rate of $22/hour. This position is not eligible for benefits.
