We are in search of a manufacturing accounting manager to join our team in SAN ANTONIO, Texas. This role primarily involves overseeing all accounting functions related to our plant operations, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reports. As a key business partner to the Plant Manager, the position will also be expected to analyze financial performance, assist with inventory control, and provide vital support to our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly accounting close and maintain the general ledger according to existing protocols

• Reconcile material, labor, and overhead variances

• Ensure the sub-ledgers align with the general ledger on a monthly basis

• Prepare monthly financial reports and present performance analysis to the Plant Manager

• Support other functions such as accounts payable, finished goods cycle counts, production updating, and invoicing

• Analyze overhead spending and work with accounts payable team to ensure timely recognition of all expenses

• Ensure proper daily processing of customer invoicing

• Manage inventory to ensure accurate and timely transactions

• Maintain part standards including material usage, cost, regrind percentage, scrap percentage, and cycle times within existing change procedures and protocols

• Provide necessary documentation to support the annual audit

• Improve processes and business tools for efficient and effective management of the accounting function

• Provide periodic reports to the Corporate Director of Finance and Plant Manager in a timely manner.

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or function.

• Proficient in using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in managing accounting functions within a manufacturing setting.

• Ability to handle and oversee budget processes effectively.

• Proficient in managing company capital.

• Strong grasp of finance principles and practices.

• Experience in managing payroll processes.

• Proficient knowledge of GAAP Accounting.

• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is a must.
