FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works in a safe manner and follows all company EH&S rules.

Performs electrical repair tasks submitted on work orders by Production on the shift such as light fixture repairs, fuse replacement, motor replacement, electronic failure, instrumentation failure, extruder die T/C replacement, extruder heater replacement, etc.

Project work orders submitted by Production must be approved by the Maintenance Lead.

Work with minimum supervision.

Install/modify electrical equipment from blueprints for directions from the Maintenance Lead with minimum supervision.

Maintains, troubleshoots, and performs scheduled maintenance on all nuclear gauging systems on production lines. Responsible for weekly cleaning and blowing out scanner units. Responsible for maintaining accurate records and log on parts inventory for gauges and system downtime problems. Responsible for placing service call to factory representative and correcting problem. Responsible for assisting the gauging system Service Technician during semi-annual scheduled maintenance.

Responsible for performing process instrumentation calibration, verification, and record keeping.

Responsible for performing brush checks/cleaning on D.C. motors and logging check on form provided by Maintenance Manager. Any problems found during the brush checks with bearings, armature, or commutator will be reported to the Maintenance Lead and logged.

Responsible for thoroughly checking/repairing production electrical equipment during scheduled maintenance functions and informing the Maintenance Lead of any potential problems not repairable during the allotted scheduled maintenance time.

Responsible for maintaining production chillers and plant air conditioning equipment, with the exception of dealing with the refrigerant.

Responsible for making electrical equipment changes and modifications on production product changeovers.

Must follow all SOP, WI, GMP's for food product safety per ASI requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager, Maintenance Lead or Electrical Lead.

Applicant must have knowledge of:

Thermocouple controlled heating systems

Running conduit and termination of wiring

PLC programming

Motor trouble shooting on both A/C and D/C Motors

Must be able to read schematics, blueprints, & make modifications to blue prints

ISO training a plus

3 Phase 480 volts A/C and up to 500 volts D/C

Chillers & air conditioning systems
