Title: Production Manager

Reports to: Senior Production Manager

OBJECTIVE

The incumbent has the general job responsibility of supervising assigned departmental plant operations. Duties include ensuring supplies and materials are in a positive flow and that all equipment is functional and adhere to safety standards. The Production Manager will function as a liaison between different departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Overseeing plant operations, setting the daily/weekly plant schedule, providing direction to departmental leads, and ensuring that operating procedures support the delivery of a quality product on-time and on-budget.

Establishing and maintaining correct and adequate inventory levels for the department, interacting with corporate purchasers regarding anticipated needs.

Monitor and prioritize workflow of production to meet deadlines

Provide direction and schedules to the manufacturing department

Maintaining adequate headcount to meet production needs, performing interviews, and overseeing the assessment, selection, and development of Team Members.

Conduct annual reviews for staff performance

Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulatory requirements which include but are not limited to: OSHA, EPA etc. Adheres to all internal company policies, programs, and standards.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong "hands-on" skills in scheduling and production control

· Process improvement ability and a track record of improving plant performance

· The ability to efficiently manage inventory and purchasing for the plant.

· Strong leadership and the ability to create a positive plant culture and change management ability when needed.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to communicate effectively, written and oral

· Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions

· Demonstrated multi-tasking ability to adjust priorities based on manufacturing needs

· High attention to detail

· Ability to work independently or with a team

This position is located in an industrial/production environment, with exposure to:

· Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch

· Regularly required to stand for long periods of time

· Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.

· Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

· Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and balance

· Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range

· Noise levels typical of a manufacturing production environment

· Finger Dexterity - The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

· Intermittent exposure to cold or heat

Ability to work in proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery
