Job Title: Senior IT Officer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Officer to join our team. The Senior IT Officer will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, managing IT infrastructure and systems, and providing technical support to end users. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the IT department, including system administration, network management, and technical support.

Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and help desk technicians.

Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the security, reliability, and availability of IT systems and data.

Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.

Ensure the security of IT systems and data through the implementation of cybersecurity measures, policies, and controls.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users, including hardware, software, and network issues.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand IT requirements and provide technical solutions and recommendations.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and solutions to improve IT efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation.

Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including procurement, negotiations, and service level agreements.

Stay current with IT trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

years of experience in IT roles, with a strong focus on system administration, network management, and technical support.

Strong technical skills and understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and technologies.

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise IT systems.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and analytically.

Experience in managing and leading technical teams.

Certification in relevant areas such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Network+ is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in industries such as technology, finance, healthcare, or manufacturing.

Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

Familiarity with cloud computing, virtualization, and cybersecurity.

Strong project management skills and experience in leading IT projects and initiatives.
