Quality Inspector

Job Description

Quality Inspector- $19.75 - $24.75 per hour

We are looking for candidates to fill Quality Inspector positions for our automotive manufacturing client for their New Boston, MI location. We offer great pay and benefits. This is a temp to hire position.

Job Overview:

Conduct quality control at assembly lines through audits, inspections, and regular line reviews.

Act as a point of contact for operators and supervisors in case of internal quality issues.

Perform inspections of incoming goods.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Create Quality Alerts.

Support plant operators with quality alert and claim training.

Conduct final inspections of products, control containment actions, and sorting.

Facilitate error prevention, continuous improvement, and problem-solving using corporate tools.

Analyze ongoing scrap and first-time quality (FTQ), and implement scrap reduction activities.

Perform FTQ analysis and follow-up actions.

Monitor first and last-offs, as well as series activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Scope of Authority:

Authority to halt production line if there's a risk that products do not meet specifications.

Authority to implement containment actions to prevent shipping of non-conforming material to customers.

Organizational Complexity of Duties:

Cross-functional position that interfaces with all other departments related to production.

Formal Education and Work Experience:

General knowledge of production lines and quality concerns across multiple plant areas.

0-2 years of experience.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Basic knowledge of Quality Assurance and Measurement Methods.

Basic knowledge in SAP Quality Management Module.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

This position requires someone with a keen eye for detail, the ability to communicate effectively across departments, and a willingness to ensure products meet quality standards.
