Estimator/Project Manager

Job Description

Job Task Include (but are not limited to)

- Review Invitation to Bid (ITB) for type of estimate and breakout needed

- Review Plans & Specifications (Discuss any unusual conditions)

- Review General Contractor's Scope Sheet

- Cross reference GC's Scope Sheet with the Plans and Specifications to verify completeness and if there is missing or additional scope

- Determine what materials, equipment and supervision are needed

- Establish a line of communication with Contractors, Vendors and Subcontractors to maintain contact throughout the bid process to insure complete and timely pricing

- Initiate calls to vendors and subcontractors for pricing

- Complete Quantity Take-offs in PlanSwift and input data into a Job cost

- Write job qualifications (exclusions, inclusions, substitutions, clarifications, etc.).

- Write job proposals

- Set-up a pre-construction job folder to include scope sheets, takeoff information, job cost, our proposal(s), qualifications, exclusions and any relevant product approvals, product data, details, plans and/or specifications

- Attend Contractor’s meetings as required

- Monitor changes, clarifications, budgets and job cost

- Assist field operations as required

- Continuously organize and maintain project files
