Desired Skills and Experience
Understanding electrical industry terms / minimum 5 years experience preferred
Understanding of National Electrical Code requirements including services, feeder and branch circuit sizing
Previous commercial construction estimating experience / minimum 2 years experience preferred
Electrical field experience
Electrical design experience for design/build and design-assist types of projects
Previous experience with electrical estimating software (EBM preferred)
Ability to analyze information in a timely manner to report to internal and external customers
Experience with creating budgets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and keen attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both individually and as part of a team
Proficient computer skills are required including Adobe, email, word documents and spreadsheets
Honesty, authenticity, loyalty and integrity
Previous experience with AutoCAD is a plus
Familiarity with general contractor management software (Procore, Viewpoint, Blue Book, Plan Hub)

The Big Tasks of an Estimator/Project Manager
An Estimator/Project Manager at Current Electric will be responsible for compiling estimate proposals for commercial electrical work including assessing costs needed to complete various sizes and types of commercial projects. The electrical estimator will utilize estimating software to create accurate estimates and proposals for commercial and multi-family electrical work. Key areas of emphasis include reviewing bid documents and blueprints; writing electrical scope proposals; attending site visits to confirm existing conditions; communicating with vendors and customers to gather detailed information about projects; and open communication with the Construction Manager. The ideal candidate for this position will lead by example and demonstrate the core values of Current Electric.
Key Sub Tasks for the Estimator/Project Manager Role
Obtain pricing quotes from outside vendors and subcontractors
Review project needs and complete project bids
Review plans and drawings; prepare quantity take-offs on assigned projects
Create and review job budgets and estimate documents to present at turnover meetings
Receive and provide meaningful feedback and analysis for completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine any reason for discrepancies with the project management team
Cost projections and analysis
Prepare and edit correspondence and reports
Attend job site bid walkthroughs and customer meetings
Following up on previously bid projects to receive customer feedback and develop long-term business relationships
Positive interactions with employees and customers
Other duties as needed

Salary: Salary starts at $75,000 and commensurates with experience
Schedule: Flexible dayshift Monday to Friday
Experience level:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical industry
Minimum of 2 years of experience with commercial construction estimating
