In this role, the Copywriter will pair with both the merchandising and marketing team to create compelling product and promotional stories both onsite and through various marketing channels. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong writing experience, who can pair a strong commitment to process with a dynamic vision. $18/HR
Responsibilities:
Work with merchants and our brand partners to understand each product category
Write compelling (and SEO-optimized) product titles, keywords and descriptions as new products are released
Work with marketing team to understand each customer segment
Write campaign copy for onsite, email and social campaigns that speaks to the target audience
Write copy for campaign and evergreen creative based on briefs to support Freshpair’s marketing channels: primarily onsite (mobile and desktop), display, affiliate, social, and email
Maintain and evolve Freshpair’s copy, both strategic and tactical (e.g. channel/promotion/segment/product copy standards)
Ensure accuracy in content, grammar, and punctuation
Working with SEO agency to edit brand and editorial content
Help determining how specific styles should be categorized and filtered on the front end of the site
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications, Advertising, Communications, Journalism or English (copywriting emphasis preferred) or equivalent experience
Strong portfolio of SEO-optimized product copy and email, onsite and social campaign
Creativity and compelling storytelling abilities
Background with E-Commerce sales of underwear/intimates is a plus
Knowledge of retail and/or retail experience a plus
Basic understanding of fashion
Knowledge of Shopify is a plus
