Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Construction/Fabrication Accounting Manager in Orange County, CA. This role is pivotal for a professional with a strong background in accounting within the commercial mechanical construction or fabrication sectors. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial management related to work in progress (WIP) accounting, alongside a proven ability to oversee multiple departmental operations and report directly to senior financial executives.

Responsibilities

* Financial Oversight: Manage all accounting operations related to construction and fabrication projects, including WIP, billing, and revenue recognition.

* Departmental Leadership: Provide leadership and strategic oversight across multiple departments, ensuring efficient collaboration and alignment with corporate financial goals.

* Reporting and Compliance: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for presentation to the CFO or Controller, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

* Process Improvement: Implement robust financial processes and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and budgeting.

* Team Development: Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications

* Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.

* Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in accounting within the construction or fabrication sectors, specifically with a commercial mechanical contractor or fabrication company.

Skills:

* Strong analytical skills and experience with financial reporting and work in progress (WIP) accounting.
