Job Purpose
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented individual to join our Key Account Sales Team as a Key Accounts Manager. This role will focus on targeting new business, managing current accounts and driving sales.
Job Responsibilities
Research and target new retailers
Manage large multi store retailers
Work closely with outside independent sales representatives
Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
Identify opportunities for expanding product assortment at retailers
Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports
Attend regional and national shows
Communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders
Conduct analyses of sales data to identify trends and opportunities
Perform some admin activities as needed
Job Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Work Experience: Five (5) years preferred in a related field
Compliance: Must adhere to company policies and procedures
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven and deep sales success
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel spreadsheets using VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Understanding of retailer portals and setting up items
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or a related field
- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to present in front of large groups of people
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to execute and follow through a sales plan
- A positive, professional, and proactive attitude
- Planning and organizational skills
- Works well within a team
Working Conditions
Environment: Office environment.
Exposure: Low or moderate noise level.
Physical Requirements: Sitting at a desk, using a telephone, using a keyboard, using a computer monitor for sometimes long and continuous periods of time.
Physical Efforts: Occasionally standing, walking, reaching, and stooping. Lifting up to 30 lbs.
