We are currently seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer for our Water Resources department. We are looking for enthusiastic leaders with a water background who are committed to life-long learning and always expanding their knowledge of their discipline. Responsibilities
Assist in planning and design of traffic and active transportation facilities
Preparation of high quality studies, reports, and analyses
Contribute to the production of high-quality, accurate, and comprehensive design drawings, cost estimates, and other
project deliverables
Preparation of traffic impact studies, Vehicle Miles ravel (VMT) analysis
Contributing to the development of design plans and specifications, cost estimates, and design details for construction
documents for traffic signal, signing & striping, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities
Contributing to the design or redesign of roadways to follow complete street principles
Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Planning
Three or more years of experience as a Civil or Transportation Engineer in a consulting environment or public entity
Engineering In Training Certificate preferred
Working knowledge of engineering principles and techniques, HCM, MUTCD, ADA, relevant Caltrans design
requirements, and interest in the field of active, non-motorized transportation
General understanding of MS Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HCS, PTV Vistro, Synchro/SimTraffic
