Description:

The Utility AutoCAD Designer will play a pivotal role in supporting facilities capital projects by providing expert AutoCAD design and filing support. This role requires a strong understanding of utility infrastructure design principles, regulatory requirements, and project management processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

AutoCAD Design: Create detailed utility infrastructure drawings, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems, using AutoCAD software.

Filing Support: Prepare and submit necessary documentation for regulatory approvals, permits, and compliance requirements related to utility infrastructure projects.

Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate utility designs seamlessly into overall project plans.

Compliance Assurance: Ensure all utility designs and filings adhere to relevant regulatory standards, codes, and industry best practices.

Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of utility drawings and documentation to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in utility infrastructure design and filing processes, and make recommendations for process improvements.

Communication: Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and resolutions to internal and external stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.

Proficiency in AutoCAD software with a minimum of 5 years of experience in utility infrastructure design.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and filing processes related to utility infrastructure projects.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality drawings and documentation.

Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Experience in facilities management or construction industry is a plus
