General Manager

The Position -This position will oversee the delivery and resource disposal while analyzing and coordinating the management functions related to the assigned market area within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Direct transportation life cycle management – training, driving, dispatching and managing teams.

P&L responsibility for the assigned market

Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a operations activity.

Plan, organize and execute plant support activities sufch as maintenance planning, repair analysis and test equipment recommendations.

Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met.f

Participate in the assessment and review of design alternatives and design change proposal impacts.

Explain operations and solutions to customers, management or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations.

Report operations plans, progress and results.

Direct team activities by establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources.

Review and assist with proposals that include documentation for estimates.

Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks and service agreements.

Supervise all disposal and service employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within those departments.

Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Educational Background & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree – Business Management, Transportation, Project Management, or Logistics preferred.

5-7 years of experience in business development, trucking, and plant management.

Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

1-3 years of P&L experience.
