Application Support Analyst (New York)
A leading hedge fund globally is seeking an Application Support Analyst to join their team in the New York office. This position will hold responsibility for providing 1st and 2nd line support for their front and middle office applications, particularly on their trading applications.
Technical skills will include Python and SQL, as well as many other technologies, and so will require proficiency in these areas with opportunity to further develop these skills and option to move into different areas of the business in time.
You will be:
Part of the first line of defence and will respond to L1/L2 issues
Escalate issues to L3, and be able to analyse any issues
Be familiar with the financial products used at the Hedge Fund
Use scripting skills in Python to automate manual processes
Build procedural run books used across the team
Build and improve monitoring dashboards using Grafana
Manage various applications with the aim of improving stability and performance over time
On call duties covering L2 support
Release management working closely with the Dev team
You will have:
Commercial experience working within Application Support, ideally within a Front Office environment.
Financial Services experiences required, ideally within a Hedge Fund but can be open to other organisations.
Knowledge of Fixed Income products which can cover bonds, swaps, IR futures, repos, swaptions, bond futures, etc.
Proficiency in Python
Knowledge of Linux, Bash, PowerShell, Git, Grafana, Prometheus is highly desirable.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and remain calm under pressure.
Strong communication skills.
This is a permanent position based in New York, with a hybrid work setup of 4 days per week in the office.
