Senior Software Engineer

Shoptelligence is in search of a back-end engineer to continue to enhance our state-of-the-art AI-powered retail platform as the company continues its growth and evolution.

Role description:

We're looking for engineers who have fresh ideas from all areas, not only with a willingness to learn but also with the desire and ability to solve problems creatively. As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for creating the next generation of our AI powered Design Discovery platform using Python and SQL in a cloud environment. This includes developing software and APIs, setting up infrastructure and CI/CD deployments with automated unit tests, as well as leading client integrations onto the platform.

A few requirements:

5+ years of experience with production-level systems

Experience in Python

Experience in Javascript

Experience with REST APIs

Experience with SQL

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent time management

Deep, insatiable passion for finding simple solutions and automation

Preferred but not required:

Experience with React / Javascript / TypeScript

Experience working with big data sets

Experience with data pipelines, ETL, data lakes, data warehouse

Experience with machine learning

Location: Our team members meet once a quarter in Michigan but we are full time remote.
