Robert Half is offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Software Developer in Martinez, California. This role primarily revolves around supporting existing applications, designing databases, and custom web programming, particularly within the healthcare industry. Responsibilities:
• Support and maintain existing applications, ensuring optimal functionality and addressing any issues as they arise
• Engage in custom web programming to meet specific business needs
• Design and architect databases, with a focus on efficiency and security
• Contribute to the planning and running of two-week sprints, taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion
• Stay current with healthcare industry trends and terminology to ensure the applications meet the needs of the industry
• Collaborate with a team of data scientists and other professionals to achieve project goals
• Utilize full-stack development skills, with a 50/50 focus on front-end and back-end development
• Employ knowledge of C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Visual Studio in daily tasks
• Work on a variety of projects, maintaining flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Programmer Analyst/Software Developer or in a similar role
• Must have experience working in the Healthcare domain
• Proficiency in programming languages including C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript, HTML
• Familiarity with MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture
• Extensive knowledge of databases with Microsoft SQL
• Ability to work with on prem and Azure cloud services for deployment and hosting
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs for integration with other systems
• Understanding of source control systems like TFS for version management
• Experience with CSS - Cascade Styling Sheets
• Familiarity with Visual Studio development environment
• Proven ability to analyze and solve complex programming and business challenges
• Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
