Human Resources Generalist for Care & Development Team - Permanent position for Non-Profit in Alpharetta, GA

Hybrid - 3 days onsite (T,W,TH) 2 days remote (M,F)

Salary Range: Up to $64K + 401K and contributions to Savings / Retirement Plans

The HR Generalist will temporarily step into a multifaceted role within the Care & Development Team at the North American Mission Board with a special focus on sustaining performance management, aiding in organizational design, and leveraging HR data analytics during the incumbent's leave of absence. This position serves as a linchpin, ensuring that essential HR functions continue to operate seamlessly and effectively in a dynamic environment.

Initially, this HR Generalist role serves as a back-fill during a maternity leave, focusing on performance management and organizational support. After 5-6 months, the role will transition into the HR Operations team, where the focus will shift to compliance, employee relations, and managing the missionaries' endorsement process.

KEY AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

Performance Management

• Oversee the daily operations of performance management, from facilitating review cycles to managing ongoing feedback channels.

• Interpret performance data to generate insights and recommendations for HR and departmental leaders.

Organizational Design

• Collaborate with senior HR and leadership teams to review and enhance organizational structures and efficiency.

• Support change management initiatives related to role redesigns or departmental restructuring.

Missionaries Endorsement

• Monitor missionaries in the assigned region to ensure progress through the endorsement process.

• Serve as the primary contact for Regional Directors, addressing region specific HR needs.

HR Compliance and Employee Relations

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, local and regional regulations including Federal I-9 and E-Verify, Affirmative action, EEOC, FLSA, and AAP/OFCCP guidelines.

• Address employee relations issues, fostering a positive work environment

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE

• Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional HR experience, with a focus on areas such as performance management, organizational design, and HR analytics.

• Experience within a role demonstrating the application of Industrial-Organizational Psychology principles is highly beneficial

SPECIALIZED SKILLS

• Proficient in HR data analytics and HRIS tool (Workday), with a keen ability to interpret data for strategic decision-making.

• Knowledgeable in contemporary performance management and organizational behavior strategies.

• Effective project management capabilities, with experience in driving HR initiatives from planning to implementation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

OPTIONAL

• Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, HR Management, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
