CBTS is looking for an experienced back end developer (Node JS) who enjoys collaborating with a team of developers, architects, QA engineers and product owner in maintaining our cloud based platform and innovate on latest technology. The goal of this team is to come up with innovative solutions to enhance and build out new features in an effort to ease the work burden of our store employees and enhances shopping experience for our customers every day.

Responsibilities:

Attend scrum calls and collaborate with team members and product owner to understand features and implementation

Contribute to design discussions on new features/enhancements

Develop new features/enhancements using React Js/Node Js/other AWS services

Develop unit tests during the development process

Work with DevOps team members on any deployment issues

Requirements:

Expertise in Node.JS development

Experience in JavaScript and supporting technologies such as TypeScript and NPM

Experience in building solutions on top of AWS such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3 and others

Experience working in AWS technologies like CloudFront, SNS, SES, SQS, Cloud Formation

Experience in development of Unit Test cases and Testing frameworks and scripting

Strong experience of building RESTful web services

Knowledge and experience working with No SQl databases (MongoDB is a plus)

Comfortable working with Version control tools and CICD tools: Git/Jenkins

Have the ability to write clean and reusable code using JavaScript

Demonstrate strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills

Good communication skills

5-7 years development experience

5+ years Node.JS experience

5+ years JavaScript experience.

Worked with bundling software (preferably WebPack, Babel)
