Position: Senior RF System and Firmware Developer
Location: Dallas, TX (on-site 5 days a week)
Responsibilities:
RF System level design and development to optimize intelligent integrated RF/wireless communication system-on-chip (SOC)
Firmware algorithm development for smart and cognitive radio including optimizing PHY layer control of the RF and baseband with the goal of product certification and market introduction.
Support the design and analysis of chip level RF components, board level RF circuits, and antennas.
Embedded programming and verification for RF integrated system and test automation
Customer technical support and onsite education to field application engineers (FAEs) worldwide
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of industry experience, or Ph.D degree
Basic knowledge and experience in programming using C or Python
Understanding of Wireless Communication System and Communication System/Protocols
Knowledge in RF system and architecture of transmitters and receivers
Hands-on experience in RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, load pull, etc)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid Knowledge in signal processing, DSP, communication theory, and information theory is preferred.
Skills in mathematics and algorithm development is preferred.
Prior knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning is preferred.
Knowledge in Microwave/EM and antenna theory is preferred.
